Many people believed that depression and stress is a state of mind and not a cause of physical illness. This is not true, stress and depression can cause many physical effects on the body including causing cholesterol levels to increase.
These raised cholesterol levels can then bring all the side effects, issues and illnesses related to ailments related problems with the heart.
When stress and depression are present cholesterol producing substances are poured into the blood to prepare it for the fight or flight response the body is expecting.
This may sound strange but I have read an article in a medical magazine recently that claims to prove this. I'm not sure if it's true or not but it's worth thinking about.
